Rice University

Rice University is a private four-year fully accredited higher education institution located in Houston, Texas on 295-acre campus adjacent to the Texas Medical Center and just a stone's throw away from the Houston Museum District.

While Rice University has a strong undergraduate focus, it is still considered a top-tier research university with a very high level of research activity for its size. Rice has a relatively small student body (3,800 undergraduates and 2,700 grad students) and a very attractive student-to-faculty ratio of 6:1. It has an endowment of over $5.5 billion and an annual research budget in excess of $110 million.

Rice is recognized for having one of the best applied science programs in the nation in the fields of signal processing, artificial heart research, structural chemical analysis, nanotechnology and space science. The university is also known for its focus on entrepreneurism and new business development. It has a renown business incubator program which was ranked No.1 in the nation in 2013 and 2014.

Rice University offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in over 50 areas of study. Rice is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Its engineering, management and architecture programs are also accredited professionally.

Jones Graduate School of Business

The Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business is recognize internationally as one of the leading business schools in the world. The Jones school of business offers degree programs in finance, accounting, marketing, management and organizational behavior. The school has a strong focus on entrepreneurism. Graduate business programs offered at Jones include the Master of Business Administration (MBA), MBA for Professionals, MBA for Executives, Joint MD/MBA, MBA/ME and MBA/MS. It also offers Phd programs in marketing, strategic management, finance and accounting.

Rice Online

Through Rice Online Rice University offers open online and professional education courses designed to enhance students' campus-based learning experience. While many course can be completed online, Rice Online does not award degrees. To participate in for-credit online course offerings students must first be accepted to a campus-based degree program.
